Our Trustees

Our Board of Trustees is responsible for the strategic direction, legal and regulatory compliance and the charity’s governance is of the highest possible standard. As The Change Project is a Charitable Company board members are Directors and Trustees of the company.

With over three years of dedicated service as Chair of the Board of Trustees, Amy brings strategic leadership and a deep commitment to organisational excellence. Her governance experience extends beyond this role, having previously served as a board member for a hospice, where she developed a strong understanding of community-focused, mission-driven work. In her professional capacity, Amy is Head of Sales and Demand Generation at Amazon, where she leads with a collaborative and results-oriented approach that mirrors her board leadership. She is passionate about building societies free from domestic abuse and supporting organisations that drive meaningful, lasting change.

Ian has been a Trustee of the charity for over 30 years, predominantly serving as Treasurer and providing long-standing financial oversight and stability to the organisation. He enjoyed a 40-year career in the City, working across retail, international, and investment banking, before becoming Finance Director and part owner of At Last Events Limited in 2022. Ian brings a wealth of financial expertise alongside a strong belief in the role organisations like The Change Project play in reducing domestic abuse through counselling, education, therapy, and perpetrator programmes. Outside of work, he enjoys live music, football, and travelling across Europe supporting The Arsenal.

Bali Nahal is Assistant Director of Customer Services at Estuary Housing Association and an accomplished public sector leader with experience across the NHS, Adult Social Care, and Housing. She specialises in customer-focused transformation, combining strategy, policy, and service delivery to deliver meaningful outcomes for communities. Committed to equality and empowerment, Bali designs inclusive, responsive services and builds trust between organisations and the communities they serve. Through her role at The Change Project, she brings a balanced perspective on domestic abuse, championing open dialogue, timely support, and practical interventions to break harmful cycles and create lasting change.

Jacqui Tomsett is a highly experienced senior HR professional with over 20 years of expertise leading both operational and strategic HR initiatives across a range of sectors. She is recognised for her ability to translate organisational goals into people-focused strategies that drive performance, engagement, and long-term success. Jacqui is passionate about the role of transformational HR in enabling organisations to evolve. She has led culture change programmes, strengthened leadership capability, and embedded progressive HR practices that support both people and organisational outcomes, helping to build high-performing, people-centred organisations.

Rebecca is a strategic and impact-focused charity CEO, currently leading Hertfordshire Students’ Union, where she represents a diverse community of over 25,000 students. She has a strong track record of delivering organisational transformation, strengthening governance, and using insight to improve outcomes and experiences. Rebecca brings expertise in stakeholder engagement, commercial management, and equality, diversity and inclusion. As a first-generation university graduate, she is passionate about the transformative power of education and is committed to creating opportunities that enable individuals and communities to thrive.
