The Change Project has over 20 years’ experience of working in partnership with professional organisations who use our services for their clients.
Dual and Counter Allegations of Domestic Abuse
Regarded as one of the most complex and under-explored areas in domestic abuse practice, the Dual and Counter Allegations programme combines academic rigour with frontline relevance.
Programme details
Our approach combines academic rigour with frontline relevance.
We offer:
- Case Consultancy for professionals navigating complex cases
- Training sessions (full and half-day options) for your team’s needs
- Insight into research sessions that unpack emerging findings and practical implications
Whether you are working in safeguarding, policy, frontline services, or research, we’re here to support a deeper understanding and better outcomes in cases of Dual and Counter Allegations.
Specialist Intervention (Stalking)
Our Specialist Intervention Service supports individuals whose behaviour has become obsessive and or fixated on individuals. Those suitable for support via our service include where unwanted contact is within a DA context (e.g. following the ending of a relationship) and outside of this (e.g. where the victim is not known to the individual displaying harmful behaviours).
Cautioning and Relationship Abuse (CARA)
CARA supports offenders in understanding what domestic abuse is, the harm their actions have caused and the impact this has had on their partners, children and relationships.
Programme details
This programme consists of two full day, interactive workshops held 4–5 weeks apart, giving participants time to reflect and practise newly learned skills. Sessions are discussion based and facilitated by experienced professionals using a trauma informed approach and motivational interviewing techniques.
The programme is designed to help break the cycle of abuse by supporting offenders to:
- Recognise abusive behaviours: including non physical forms such as coercive control.
- Take responsibility: moving away from denial or minimisation and understanding the impact of their actions on partners and children.
- Manage risks: identifying personal triggers and learning strategies such as time outs and safer conflict resolution skills.
- Prepare for future change: signposting to specialist services for continued support and long term behaviour change.
Youth Action for Change
